Why is the smartphone not responding to the charger at all?
Mobile phones tend to stay in our pockets and on our desks. The length of time a phone sits idle, collecting dust and lint, varies for different user groups and depends mainly on the type of use and the environment. More specifically, "statistics on smartphone use show that the average person spends 2 hours and 51 minutes per day with their mobile device. So it's normal for phones to collect dust and lint from the environment just like any other household appliance, and this isn't due to misuse or neglect.
Check the charging port for signs of blockage and clogging
Before grabbing tools and cleaning supplies and getting to work, first of all switch off your smartphone and check for signs of a clogged charging port or corroded or worn out charging contacts by looking inside the charging port. If you can't clearly see the condition of the port, then take a photo of the affected area with another phone and zoom in to see what happened.
After you've found out the problem, which in more than 95% of cases is the build-up of lint and dust, you can try the following methods. Try one of the following methods that suit your situation.
1. Use a toothpick to loosen the lint in the charging port.
Use a wooden toothpick to loosen the lint in the port and pull it out gradually by moving the toothpick around the charging contacts. Using a toothpick is the safest way to loosen the lint. Firstly, toothpicks are usually made of wood and won't damage the connector if you accidentally press hard on it. Secondly, because they're made of wood, they don't carry an electrostatic charge that could damage the phone's electronics by accidentally discharging an electrostatic charge or short-circuiting as in the case of a metal pin.

2. Use Air Duster spray to loosen and blow out the lint.
Air Duster Spray is highly recommended for cleaning many electronic devices, including smartphones. You can easily buy a duster spray from any online shop. Aim the tip of the spray nozzle at the charging port and carefully spray 3-4 bursts to blow away the accumulated lint and leave the port clean. If you feel that you still need to loosen the hard deposits on the charging contacts, a toothpick is your lifeline
Precautions:
Air Dusters usually contain compressed refrigerant or propellant gas, most commonly HFC-152a, which is compressed under pressure. As the name implies, propellants are highly flammable and spraying them directly on an open fire could be dangerous. It's recommended to handle and shop the can properly after use, as recommended by the manufacturer.Tips:

- Try using a different charger.
- Try plugging the charger into a different outlet.
- Try charging your phone with the wireless charging mat if available - it can help you recover your data if the charging port is physically damaged and you need to change it.
- If your phone starts charging in a certain position, the charging port is probably damaged and you can contact the service centre for a replacement or repair.
